Dr. Adan Saman

Dr. Adan Saman Sheikh is a highly esteemed education systems and curriculum development expert with over 25 years of experience, particularly in conflict and post-conflict regions. Currently, a Curriculum Specialist with Beder Consultancy Group (BCG), Dr. Adan has played a pivotal role in reforming education in challenging environments, including serving on Kenya’s National Taskforce for the implementation of the competency-based curriculum (CBC). His diverse career spans roles such as Technical Advisor for the Kenya Essential Education Programme (KEEP), Curriculum Development Advisor at Mercy Corps in Somalia, and lecturer at Kenyatta University. Dr. Adan’s extensive consultancy work with international organizations like UNICEF, UNESCO, and USAID has focused on advancing teacher training, curriculum development, and non-formal education. His work has made significant contributions to strengthening education systems in some of the world’s most complex settings.
