Our Background

The Beder Consulting Agency (BCA) is a national non-governmental organization that was established in 2014 by a group of intellectuals. They recognized the need for an organization that could positively infuence people's lives and social welfare.

BCA began its humanitarian and development efforts in Mogadishu and has since expanded its services to other regions of Somalia over the years. BCG is registered in Somali Federal Government and all FMS states. It collaborates closely with line ministries like education, health, women, interior, youth, and sports, as well as stakeholders such as donors, partners, and community leaders. Since 2014, BCA has been serving the Somali community. Throughout these years, BCG has gained extensive experience in social development, including curriculum development, educational training, system building, social awareness, general hygiene, sanitation campaigns, and more.

  • 2.1. Board of directories

    The board of directors of BCA serves as the governing body of the organization and is composed of ve individuals. The Board of Directors is comprised of ve people: three men and two women. The organization's founders make up one-third of its members; members vote for them at the annual meeting to choose who will hold this position. All members are expected to have a basic understanding of and take action to support the BCA mission, goals, and programs. This involves contributing to the expansion of BCA's outreach, increasing its visibility, and attracting donor support. It is important to note that all board members serve as volunteers and do not receive any compensation.

    BCA possesses a vast network of specialized experts who possess diverse skills and extensive experience in various technical felds. We leverage this pool of knowledge by providing services to clients, often utilizing the expertise of multiple consultants for a single assignment. Our team of qualified consultants is adaptable and collaborates closely with client organizations to empower them to address challenges effectively and independently. BCA is an organization that exemplies nancial stability, boasting ample resources to nance its contracts. BCA is nancially aliated with Beder Group of Companies, which includes Beder Publishers, Beder Electronics, and Baano Medicare. The annual revenue of this group exceeds 4 million USD.
  • 2.4. General Organizational Capability

    BCA has ve established departments, which are Research and Development, quality education, Monitoring & Evaluation, Leadership and Governance, and Capacity Development. In each of these departments, we offer research, consulting, and training services. Our team members are adaptable and highly skilled in their respective sectors. In addition, we also have a well-established Data management unit which is mandated to investigate the quality of data from tools development, training, data collection, cleaning, analysis, entry, report production and dissemination. Our expertise in data management and data analysis allows us to provide data of the highest possible quality. When conducting the analysis, they make use of a number of dierent software, such as SPSS, ANOVA, STATA, and Microsoft Excel.
  • 2.2. Our executive team

    The board of directors is responsible for appointing executive director, Program manager, accountant, HR, and internal auditor at BCG. The executive director serves as the chairperson of the executive committee. In addition, he serves as the point of contact and directs the administration of operations by closely monitoring the performance of several departments, including program, nance, and others.
